At the center of Freescale’s SigmaTel controller architecture is a highly integrated DigiColor® controller SoC comprised of a dedicated hardware image processing core that supports fast, high quality printing. Freescale’s SigmaTel SoCs provide all of the functions and interfaces needed to develop an advanced multifunction device capable of printing, copying, faxing and scanning. These SoCs also support connectivity features that are required for office and home network printing.

Freescale’s focus on system integration allows partners to deliver high performance products with significantly lower Bill of Material (BOM) costs. Our System-on-Chip (SoC) devices, embedded firmware, host software, and hardware reference designs can support a complete product line of laser printer products.
