Introduction
Freescale’s SGTV5900 product line includes fully integrated TV audio processors that provide television manufacturers superior sound performance, advanced sound processing and industry leading technology at a low system cost. This next generation solution is designed to serve the full spectrum of televisions by providing high fidelity audio processing and demodulating for all worldwide audio standards. The SGTV5900 product line can be integrated in all televisions including LCD, Plasma, CRT and rear projection televisions. As a highly flexible solution, the SGTV5900 family supports audio requirements for today's digital television. With worldwide engineering support, customers can go to market more rapidly and economically utilizing the SGTV5900 product family.

Industry Leading Digital Audio Processing
The SGTV5900 product line allows customers to incorporate numerous sound processing options including SRS TruSurround HD4™, SRS TruSurround HD™, SRS TruSurround XT™, SRS WOWHD™, and BBE High definition sound™. For superior sound performance, the SGTV5900 product family contains Freescale’s proprietary SigmaTel sound technology. SigmaTel Surround adds immersive surround sound effect while maintaining centered dialogue for movies and widens and deepens the soundstage for music input. SigmaTel Bass allows the system designer to customize the bass content presented to internal speakers as well as on the subwoofer output.
